Denver
Denver is the capitol of Colorado and aptly known as the Mile High City. It is nestled at the eastern edge of the Rocky Mountains providing stunning views of nearby peaks. Including its suburbs, it is home to over 3 million people!
Denver is within a day trip to awesome parks like Arapaho & Roosevelt National Forest, Rocky Mountain National Park, and Pike and San Isabel National Forest. If skiing is your thing, Aspen, Breckenridge, Keystone, Beaver Creek and Vail are just a few of the resorts within driving distance of Denver.
Within Denver, there are numerous museums such as Denver Art Museum, the Denver Museum of Nature & Science and the Clyfford Still Museum. Indoor activities should include the Denver Performing Arts Complex, one of the largest arts centers in the country.
Outdoor activities within the city include the Denver Botanical Garden, The Denver Zoo, over 200 nature parks, and the infamous Red Rocks Park and Ampitheatre where famous talents have played such as Tom Petty, U2, Dave Matthews Band, Coldplay and the Eagles. And if you are in town during September through January, make a point to take in the NFL Denver Broncos at Mile High Stadium.
